Damage per second = damage ÷ fire cycle, computed by the build script.

What it is

The Outpost’s configuration in build 23882143 has no mineral requirement, but that is not proof it can be built freely in a playable battle. It supplies 100 energy and 35 supply; the Warehouse costs 120 minerals for its own supply role. Defence records 550 base hit points, bonus capacity of 50 and 5 armour. Its description says “An outpost is a link in inter-territorial communication. Such buildings are located in the wastelands.” The linked weapons and regeneration component make it more than scenery. Read the demo and global-map guides before assigning an acquisition method that these fields do not establish.

Where it comes from

The Outpost description places the building in the wastelands and gives it a communication role. Build 23882143 also contains another outpost configuration, but similar roles do not establish the same acquisition conditions or access in every mode. The Empire entry links weapons and regeneration, so the description is not the whole record of its functions. We do not turn a missing mineral requirement into an ordinary build order. Read the global-map guide for the campaign context and the demo guide for the mode actually available to play.

How it is actually used

The linked machine guns each have calculated infantry DPS of 74.3; the cannons each have infantry DPS of 144.4 and vehicle DPS of 44.4, with base range 10. These are separate weapon records and cycle calculations, not a guaranteed combined barrage. The raw guns include target, arc and replacement settings, while regeneration is a separate support effect. If an Outpost is held in the current mode, assess its approach and the troops that can support it. Read the weapon comparison page before treating its resource contribution as proof it can defend itself unaided.

How to beat it

The mistake is treating an Outpost as harmless scenery. Its weapons record base range 10, with cannon infantry damage of 130 per shot. Armour is 5, and each cannon’s calculated vehicle DPS is 44.4; armour of 5 on the building is a defensive setting, not a threshold that guarantees any vehicle wins. Compare the appropriate damage category, gun arcs and nearby support before entering range. The weapon comparison guide explains why nominal output, regeneration and the resources the building supplies need separate consideration.
