What it is
The Complector costs 200 minerals, 320 energy and 80 gears. Its official description explains production and attachments: “A bioengineering station that produces "Brutes".
Attachment mechanics: - Barracks nearby receive a 5% discount. - Power station speed up 'Brute' production. - Storages increase the maximum number of "Brutes".
Existing Complectors increasing their maximum limit of "Brutes".” It includes a 5-percent discount for connected Barracks. In build 23882143, the linked producer explicitly names the Brute unit, the Power station and Storage configurations, with separate spawn, capacity and connection settings. The building has 1 000 base hit points and 7 armour. These settings support the described relationships without proving unlimited free infantry or availability in every demo mode.
Where it comes from
The developer explained the design on 15 June 2026: “this structure should upgrade infantry health, but that would be out of style for the faction. Therefore, it provides free infantry, the 'Brutes'.” He also illustrated a connected Power station and said it “speeds up unit production”. Those statements describe why the Complector differs from the Foundry and Arsenal. Its linked production component names Brutes and the neighbouring building configurations, so the connection is more than a general resemblance between structures. The announcement does not certify that production is unrestricted in every playable mode. Read the macro building and connection guides for the intended interactions and their distinct roles.
How it is actually used
Plan the Complector’s connection space as well as its energy requirement of 320; the Mat. Fabricator requires 500, but serves a different economic role. A Power station connection speeds Brute production according to the description, Storage increases the Brute limit, and connected Barracks receive a discount. The linked component records those building identities and separate controls. Check that the intended connection exists before expecting its benefit. The Set mode ability is also separate from assuming that pausing production refunds the building’s energy requirement.
How to beat it
The mistake is buying a Complector without checking the network and connections that the plan needs. Its 320-energy requirement can matter even before Brutes become useful, but it does not prove that every young base will lose power. When attacking, assess the producer and its linked neighbours instead of assuming killing already-produced infantry is always the worse trade. When defending, preserve space for replacements and the connections you actually use. Read the Complector and Set mode pages before assigning a universal production or shutdown behaviour to the building.
