What it is
The Power station supplies the base’s energy network. Its official description warns: “Increases network capacity. If the capacity level is negative, most defensive structures will be disabled, and troop production will slow.” It costs 150 minerals and supplies 250 energy in build 23882143. The linked defence record gives 450 base hit points and 7 armour. These are building settings, not a promise that a particular weapon needs a particular number of shots. Its construction footprint is recorded separately. Plan room for the station and the production or defences that depend on the network.
Where it comes from
The update of 22 June 2026 records “mat fabricator and flame turret now disable when power is low”. This is a dated change to the Mat. Fabricator and Flamethrower turret under low power. Together with the Power station’s description, it explains why energy supply matters after construction as well as while expanding. The announcement does not establish a universal shutdown order or say that every structure behaves alike. Read the economy guide for the distinction between mineral stocks and the capacity of the energy network.
How it is actually used
Before adding production or powered defences, check the capacity you will leave available. The Power station costs 150 minerals and provides 250 energy; the Lightweight generator supplies 80 for 60 minerals. That comparison describes different purchase sizes, not a universal build order. Choose according to the immediate shortage, construction time and space you can protect. Avoid making the whole network depend on an exposed cluster, and consult the connection guide when a station is placed beside a Complector.
How to beat it
The mistake is assuming that destroying a station automatically disables the entire enemy base. Its 450 base hit points and 7 armour help identify the target, but the outcome depends on spare capacity and other power sources. For the defender, spacing and access for support matter more than a claim that one shell will remove several stations. For the attacker, look for production or defences actually constrained by power before committing a raid. The economy guide explains the network warning in the official description.
