What it is

Radar costs 170 minerals, 100 energy and 30 gears. Its description says “This building can be used for reconnaissance and terrain scanning. It also highlights static enemy structures.” It has 436 base hit points, bonus-health capacity of 50 and 7 armour in build 23882143. The area coefficient of 0.0 is not a documented damage-reduction formula. The linked scan command reaches a spawned object with fog-of-war radius and destruction-time settings. These are distinct from targeting range and do not certify continuous battlefield vision. Consult the Radar scan page for the command rather than treating the building description as a weapon-accuracy bonus.

Where it comes from

The developer called artillery “a kind of ultimatum force” in the account of 10 February 2026. This explains the importance of finding targets, but does not attribute an accuracy bonus to Radar. Radar’s own description names reconnaissance, scanning and highlighting static enemy structures, while the linked ability and spawned object give the scan a concrete configuration. The announcement and that configuration answer different questions. Read the artillery guide alongside the scan page when planning how a gun will obtain information about its target.

How it is actually used

Build Radar for an information task you intend to use: finding an approach, scanning a location or identifying static structures. Its 436 base hit points and 7 armour are reasons to consider protection; the area coefficient of 0.0 does not certify the damage a shell will deal. The linked scan has targeting, cooldown and spawned vision settings, so plan around the command rather than assuming permanent coverage wherever the building stands. Use the artillery guide to combine reconnaissance with a firing position, and the scan page for the ability’s separate controls.

How to beat it

The mistake is treating Radar as proof that every enemy gun will keep firing accurately. The description promises information functions, not a universal aiming modifier. Its 170-mineral and 30-gear prices identify an investment, but do not prove that a single flanker can reach and destroy it cheaply. Check other observers, the current scan and the units guarding the route. For the defender, preserve the information source the army actually needs. The artillery and reconnaissance guides help assess what remains visible if the building is lost.
