What it is

The Processing plant costs 300 minerals and 100 energy. Its description gives an approximate sizing rule: “Mineral processing plant. Processes minerals into primary resources.

The processing capacity is approximately two combine harvesters.” Build 23882143 records 50 added storage, 1 500 base hit points and 10 armour. The linked refinery component records unloading quantity, an unloading timer and an internal mineral limit; that limit is distinct from the storage added to the player’s economy. It also carries a separate Combine call. Read the harvesting guide before treating an approximate description as a fixed throughput ceiling.

Where it comes from

The developer’s economy advice of 15 June 2026 says “Economy is everything. If you’re short on resources, move your base, develop a passive economy, and set production to run continuously.” The Processing plant’s 300-mineral price gives that advice a concrete construction cost to compare with other options. The announcement does not say that relocating a base is free or that movement always improves income. Its recommendation is broader than this building. Read it alongside the local hauling route, unloading settings and storage capacity, and use the economy guide to separate movement, processing and passive production.

How it is actually used

A Combine’s workshop price is 100 minerals. The linked global upgrade costs 500, while the separate Combine call has a mineral price of 140. Those are different purchases: do not substitute the vehicle’s workshop price for the call. The description’s approximate harvester capacity also does not prove that every extra Combine will be idle. Watch travel, unloading and available storage before expanding the fleet, then compare another processing point with a shorter route. The harvesting guide and Combine call page cover those decisions separately.

How to beat it

The mistake is assuming the same fleet suits every route. The plant’s internal mineral limit is 250, while its added economy storage is 50; neither alone determines how many vehicles can work efficiently. The plant has 1 500 base hit points, compared with 500 for a Combine, but health alone does not establish which raid target is cheaper to reach. Observe waiting vehicles, the unloading approach and escort coverage. Use the economy guide to distinguish a processing bottleneck from a full storage cap before changing the fleet.
