What it is
Storage increases the material limit rather than producing minerals. It costs 150 minerals and 50 energy, adding 400 storage according to its description: “Extends the maximum limit of stored materials (primary resource).” Build 23882143 records 363 base hit points and 7 armour. Its bonus health capacity is separate from current extra health. The linked energy and footprint components help describe its place in the base, but do not certify what happens to every stored resource when it is destroyed. Consult the economy guide when deciding whether the cap or income is limiting expansion.
Where it comes from
The Complector’s description says nearby Storages “increase the maximum number” in relation to its Brutes. This is an effect named by the producer’s description, not by Storage’s own short description. The developer’s connection explanation of 15 June 2026 gives the wider context, and the linked Complector component names a Storage configuration explicitly. Capacity for resources and capacity for Brutes remain different effects. Read the Complector page and the building connection guide before placing Storage for a benefit beyond the material limit.
How it is actually used
Check the material cap before ordering another storage building. Storage adds 400 capacity for 150 minerals; the Large warehouse adds 100 storage for 250 minerals but also serves a supply role. Compare the effect you need rather than judging the buildings by storage alone. Beside a Complector, Storage has another documented interaction, whose connection must be established. A full cap does not by itself prove that harvesters continue working or that every incoming mineral disappears; consult the economy and connection guides for the separate systems.
How to beat it
The mistake is treating Storage as either disposable or an automatic priority target. Its 363 base hit points do not establish the economic loss from destroying it. For the defender, protect a cap increase that the current production plan needs, and account for any connection to a Complector. For the attacker, determine whether storage is constraining the enemy before choosing it over production or power. The economy guide explains why added capacity, current stocks and the rate of incoming resources should be considered separately.
