What it is

The Additional generator is an attachment rather than a replacement name for the Power station. Its description says “A solid-fuel generator. Produces additional power. Can be installed on a standard power station.” It costs 70 minerals and supplies 100 energy in build 23882143. The linked defence record contains 100 base hit points and 7 armour. Its bonus hit-point capacity is distinct from the extra health currently present. The production tree also lists the Foundry as a producer, so check both access to the module and the station where you intend to install it.

Where it comes from

On 15 June 2026, the developer illustrated connections using the Complector: “In the image, a power plant is connected to it, which speeds up unit production”. The wider explanation says “Buildings can be connected to each other and grant bonuses. In the GIF above, the factories are connected by a pipe, they receive a production discount if placed in a row like that. This helps a lot with macro gameplay.” These statements describe the connection system and that example; they do not establish a production bonus for every attachment. The Additional generator’s own description confirms installation on a standard Power station. Keep the station’s extra power separate from the Complector’s production interaction, and consult the building connection guide before assigning either effect to a layout.

How it is actually used

Compare the size of the power purchase before choosing an attachment. The Additional generator provides 100 energy for 70 minerals; a Power station supplies 250 for 150. Installation on an existing station may fit a constrained layout, but the description does not prove that the attachment needs no space or cannot be attacked separately. Check the module’s producer and the host station’s position before spending. Use the economy guide to decide whether the immediate shortage calls for an attachment or another power source.

How to beat it

The mistake is treating an attachment as protected simply because it belongs to a station. The linked defence record is separate, and the installation description does not establish how damage to the host and module interacts. Keep access for support and avoid concentrating all power in an exposed position. When attacking, compare the role of the host with the extra capacity from the attachment rather than assuming either is a free kill. Consult the Power station page for the consequences of a network shortage.
