What it is

Heavy cover costs 150 minerals and 10 energy. It has 2 000 base hit points, extra-health capacity 50 and armour 60; the extra capacity starts empty. Fire and gas coefficients are 1.0 in build 23882143. The description states “This shelter is made of durable materials, and the infantry will hold out longer behind it.” The area coefficient −0.5 is another defensive parameter without a documented damage formula. The raw garrison permits infantry retaliation and records its own entry and exit rules. Choose occupants and layout together rather than equating strong host armour with complete protection for the infantry it houses.

Where it comes from

Heavy cover’s area coefficient is −0.5 in build 23882143. That negative value also appears on Additional generator, but does not establish amplified artillery damage or a shared battlefield role. The shelter’s description promises a protective purpose for infantry, and its raw Bunker component confirms a garrison mechanism. The description and coefficient answer different questions. Read the garrison and resistance pages before attributing a damage formula to the shelter or treating every defensive field as a guarantee about the occupants.

How it is actually used

The potential health total 2 050 includes extra capacity that starts empty. For comparison, Heavy wall has 2 000 base hit points and armour 70, but does not provide the same garrison entry. Fire and gas coefficients of 1.0 do not prove universal immunity. Choose the shelter for a position its occupants can use, with useful sight lines and an exit route. Check the separate garrison rules and supporting fire before committing infantry. The construction and garrison pages compare physical layout, host protection and the behaviour of units inside.

How to beat it

The potential health total 2 050 is not the currently filled reserve. The area coefficient −0.5 also supplies no formula proving artillery deals extra damage. Assess the occupants and their retaliation alongside the host’s armour before choosing a weapon or bypassing the position. An empty shelter and an occupied firing position pose different threats. The defender should protect the exit and support the approaches outside the garrison’s useful fire. Read the environmental-damage and garrison pages before claiming flame or gas automatically clears the infantry inside.
