What it is

Ball silos cost 120 minerals and require 10 energy, adding 50 supply capacity and 250 storage in build 23882143. The official description is “Simple material storage.” The hull has 363 base HP, 50 extra-HP capacity initially empty, and area resistance 0.3. Front and rear armour fields are 7 and 0, but directional armour is disabled. The energy requirement is below the hut's 20; its 363 base HP do not establish an exact damage threshold. Supply and storage are separate contributions, so this entry should be chosen for the particular capacity needed rather than a presumed universal best price.

Where it comes from

The 250 storage contribution at 120 minerals combines with supply capacity, whereas the Mutant Bio bubble provides 60 supply and 300 storage with a different price and energy profile. Both are recorded in build 23882143, but their availability and supporting functions are not interchangeable. The silos' short material-storage description does not mention every economic field in their configuration. Reading the supply and storage fields together explains the building's combined role without establishing a global efficiency ranking.

How it is actually used

Use the 50 supply contribution and 250 storage contribution as separate reasons to consider Ball silos. The hut also provides supply and infantry production, so compare the functions needed before choosing a cap expansion. The silos have 363 base HP and an initially empty extra-HP capacity; their directional-armour flag is disabled despite unequal front and rear fields. Place them according to which capacity you need and the protection available nearby. The extracted storage limit alone does not show that adding another silo creates mineral income or changes extraction speed.

How to beat it

Removing Ball silos threatens 50 supply capacity and 250 storage, so their economic role is broader than their short description. Area resistance 0.3 differs from the Antiaircraft gun's 0.7, but that difference is not an established splash-damage formula. The 120-mineral price likewise does not predict replacement speed or an immediate production halt. Their extra-HP capacity begins empty, and directional armour is disabled; do not base the attack on an assumed unarmoured rear. Assess whether the opponent is actually relying on these capacities before prioritising the building.
