Bulletproof vests

Confirmed Established

What it is

Bulletproof vests describes disposable protection: “disposable infantry body armor. We do not issue replacements if lost.” Confirmed by the game files, build 23882143. It records +150 to the extra-health pool and no negative effect fields, one of three such modules. The word “disposable” belongs to the description; this review has not established the conditions for losing or renewing protection. It must not be converted into a proven duration or a rule that the vests disappear after a fight. Compare the extra-health field with the unit’s existing protection.

Where it comes from

Other infantry-targeted modules include Fireproof suit and Enhanced health, whose description admits that “side effects are present”. Confirmed by the game files, build 23882143. The vests’ quartermaster voice is descriptive tone, not a complete mechanic. An Empire squad has 2 100 base hit points and a 500-point reserve, illustrating separate main and extra-health fields. Those records allow baseline comparisons but do not establish conditions for issuing replacement vests or prove that every infantry module is permanent.

How it is actually used

Empire Brutes cost 35 minerals and five population, with 1 400 base hit points and a 500-point reserve. They provide a comparison between extra protection and the existing fields. The words “if lost” do not explain whether vests survive retreat or exactly how they are lost; this review leaves that question open. Fireproof suit and Enhanced health offer other recorded effects. Their descriptions do not establish permanence or a particular duration, so a temporary-versus-permanent choice would be premature.

How to beat it

The disposable-protection description suggests considering sustained pressure, but does not prove that a second fight is automatically cheaper: loss and renewal conditions have not been established here. The extra-health gain is recorded. Flame tanks and flamethrower turrets reach 369.2 calculated damage per second against infantry, but that does not prove bypassing the vests or every infantry module. Compare weapons with the target’s actual protection. Our interpretation, not a tested renewal mechanic.
