Radio station

Confirmed Established

What it is

Radio station is one of two range modules, with a restrained description: “slightly increases attack range.” Confirmed by the game files, build 23882143. The word “slightly” describes its effect but does not replace the recorded maximum-attack-range gain. Unlike Panoramic sight it contains no negative effect fields; both occupy a slot. The absence of a cost in the description does not prove absence of every possible runtime expense. Compare the recorded changes rather than assuming that a modest description means missing numerical data.

Where it comes from

Weapon files carry base and additional range values, build 23882143. The Empire Molot records 10 with a 51-point bonus, the AK-125 turret 27.7 with 15; many vehicles read a base of 10. Radio station changes the maximum-attack-range field, and that record exists. Panoramic sight provides a different recorded change and reduces armour. Compare module fields separately from the full formula determining final firing reach for a specific weapon, which this review has not established.

How it is actually used

The Empire Molot carries 350 base hit points and armour of 5, so consider reach alongside protection and its battlefield job. Radio station has no negative effect fields but occupies a slot; Panoramic sight exchanges armour for a larger recorded gain. Both modules have numerical changes available for comparison. The AK-125 turret records base range 27.7 and bonus 15; those weapon parameters provide context for a range addition but do not establish the final combat outcome.

How to beat it

Consider closing the distance against a weapon with increased reach. The developer calls the radio’s effect slight, but its practical importance depends on weapon and positioning. Empire artillery records area resistance of −0.6, a negative raw coefficient. Without the application formula, that value does not prove shelling is more effective than every other response. Accounting for distance and army composition is our interpretation of the description and fields, not a measured engagement.
