What it is

Panoramic sight trades armour space for reach: “increases attack range, but requires armor space to place it.” Confirmed by the game files, build 23882143. The maximum-attack-range gain and armour loss are recorded in its effect fields. It is one of two range modules, alongside the radio station, whose description calls its increase slight. It is one of nine descriptions naming a trade and one of three mentioning space. The description and numerical effects should be read together when comparing protection with reach.

Where it comes from

Weapon files carry a base range and an additional range value, build 23882143. The Empire Molot records 10 with a 51-point bonus, and the AK-125 turret 27.7 with 15. This module changes maximum attack range by 3, at the price of 10 armour. Until 4 September 2026, this section denied that the change was recorded. The same addition is proportionally larger against a base of 10 than against 27.7; those ratios alone do not establish final firing reach with all weapon parameters applied.

How it is actually used

Compare additional range with the protection sacrificed. The Empire Molot records 350 base hit points and armour of 5, so its initial reserve is limited. A low starting armour value does not make losing armour free: the final application of the penalty has not been tested here. The recorded trade is +3 maximum attack range against −10 armour. The radio station is an alternative without a recorded negative effect. Choose with the weapon and acceptable protection loss in view.

How to beat it

Closing the distance is worth considering against a vehicle that exchanged armour for reach. The Molot records area resistance of −0.6, a negative raw value which does not establish amplified damage without the application formula. Its base hit points are 350, with armour of 5. These fields help describe its protection but do not guarantee that rushing or shelling will succeed. Considering distance and remaining protection is our interpretation, not a measured combat result.
