What it is
Tower drive describes transferring power between systems: “transfers power from the engine to the turret drive and increases its traverse speed.” Confirmed by the game files, build 23882143. The turret-speed multiplier field contains 0.1, while the movement-speed loss is 0.2. This review has not established the multiplier’s application formula or final traverse speed. Until 4 September 2026, this section denied that either field existed. Both are recorded, and the multiplier field is used by this module alone in the catalogue.
Where it comes from
The demo records cost, hit points, armour, resistances, weapons and damage, build 23882143. Movement and traverse parameters also exist in raw components. Their absence from an individual published fiche does not prove absence from the files. Tower drive records a movement-speed change and a turret-speed multiplier field. What this review has not established is the complete application formula for a specific turret and its resulting degrees per second. A plausible runtime figure must not replace that missing verification.
How it is actually used
From its description, consider Tower drive for a turreted vehicle that needs to answer threats from the side. The developer described armour sectors on 10 February 2026: “two conical shapes: one for the front arc and a combined one for the sides and rear”. The difference can be substantial: the Empire Gorb Tank has 110 armour in front and 50 behind. However, its official description explicitly says it is turretless, so it is an armour comparison rather than a candidate for this drive. Check for a suitable turret and module compatibility before recommending a loadout.
How to beat it
The description suggests considering simultaneous threats from different directions; it does not prove that a turret answers small angles for free. The entry records a turret-speed multiplier coefficient of 0.1 and a movement-speed loss of 0.2. Its complete application formula and the final speed of the selected turret are not established here. The official description says traverse is increased; the raw coefficient alone does not quantify that acceleration. Hull mobility remains separate. Our interpretation, not a manoeuvre test.
