Damage per second = damage ÷ fire cycle, computed by the build script.

What it is

Dreadnought costs 700 minerals, 50 gears and 50 population, taking 90 seconds to build. Base health is 1 500; extra capacity 60 starts empty. Frontal armour is 60, versus 30 at sides and rear. Its alternative attacks record 650 infantry, 400 vehicle and 300 building damage on a calculated 3.2-second cycle: 203.1, 125.0 and 93.7 damage per second respectively. The vehicle figure 125 is not a global ranking. Flamethrower armored personnel carrier’s 233.3 is a continuous-weapon estimate. Build 23882143 links a mode switch between the Dreadnought attacks, not proof of simultaneous guns.

Where it comes from

The developer described artillery as “a kind of ultimatum force,” in the explanation of 10 February 2026. Dreadnought’s raw records add a more specific distinction: the long and shorter projectile attacks are connected by a mode switch, with different reach and minimum-range settings. They should not be read as a pair of barrels firing together merely because both appear in the catalogue. Siege mode and the territory-fire command link to that implementation. Consult those pages when choosing a mobile or siege position; the general artillery announcement does not certify the behaviour of every mode.

How it is actually used

A build time of 90 seconds and a price of 700 minerals make the production route and support worth checking before a commitment. The shorter attack is an alternative mode, not a guaranteed automatic answer when an enemy enters the long weapon’s minimum range. BREM or a repair position can support a 700-mineral chassis, but restoring damage is not a promise of payback or survival. Check Siege mode, the selected attack and available retreat ground. The unit configuration also requires Foundry and Arsenal, so the mineral price alone is not the whole access condition.

How to beat it

Do not confuse minimum range with maximum reach: artillery outside a minimum-range circle can still be within the weapon’s firing range. Dreadnought also has a shorter alternative attack selected through its mode link. Rear armour is 30, versus frontal armour 60; a different angle is relevant, without proving an automatic flank victory. Consider the active mode, firing position and escort before using counter-battery fire, aircraft or a ground approach. The artillery and Siege mode pages explain these choices; the source leaves the choice dependent on the aircraft, access and support.
