Damage per second = damage ÷ fire cycle, computed by the build script.
What it is
Host Corrupter costs 300 minerals and 25 population, with a twenty-five-second production time. Its official description states “A unique summoning artillery unit. When attacking, it sends mini-worms through the ground that act as whips, while simultaneously summoning a swarm of midges. Vulnerable in close combat.” Build 23882143 records 1 000 base hit points, reserve capacity 50, uniform armour 33, and fire, gas and area coefficients 1.0, −0.5 and 0.5. Its projectile points to a mini-worm object, and a damage event links to a concrete-eater spawn. These secondary links make the zero values in the internal gun an incomplete account of its role; they do not supply a measured total damage output.
Where it comes from
Host Corrupter has combined health capacity 1 050 and armour 33; the Big collector records capacity 2 750 and armour 15 in build 23882143. Both have raw damage-event components, but their links lead to different spawn configurations. They cannot be grouped as units with no useful response merely because their catalogue weapon entries differ. For the Corrupter, the 25 population cost belongs to a summoning artillery role explicitly described by the developer. Its complete attack remains unmeasured, while the secondary links are positive evidence rather than an unexplained empty weapon table.
How it is actually used
The internal projectile records range 10, range adjustment 35, minimum range 5 and calculated cycle 5.15, with gun damage 0 to each listed target class. That does not prove a harmless attack: its projectile object and spawn event require separate reading. Range 10 and adjustment 35 should remain distinct fields rather than a promise of a particular effective reach. Use the description to understand the summoning role and allow protection against close approaches. Neither the gun cycle nor the zero columns establish the full timing and damage of the mini-worm and swarm effects.
How to beat it
The developer warns “Vulnerable in close combat”. The recorded minimum range is 5, but it applies to the internal projectile and is not proof that every summoned or event-driven effect stops inside that distance. The calculated cycle 5.15 likewise does not measure the interval between all possible effects. Contesting its protected firing position is consistent with the warning, while checking the swarm and nearby defenders. Do not assume that closing the distance removes every threat, or that zero gun damage means no damage is being avoided.
