Damage per second = damage ÷ fire cycle, computed by the build script.

What it is

The Strong crawler costs 120 minerals and 10 population, with a twenty-second production time. Its description establishes the intended relationship to Cerberus: “The Crawler is a small Cerberus. Armored, slow, and deals good damage to buildings.” Build 23882143 records 250 base hit points and 140 front armour. A large armour value and a small health pool are separate characteristics; their combination is not proof of either invulnerability or immediate death. The projectile and directional health components support a siege role without establishing a universal armour ranking.

Where it comes from

On 10 February 2026, the developer described separate front protection and “a combined one for the "sides and rear.” The Strong crawler records 140 at the front and 90 for the sides and rear, with the directional-armour flag enabled. This gives a concrete reason to care about its facing. The announcement explains the protection layout without supplying a per-hit damage formula or a destruction threshold. The crawler also has a reverse-movement setting, consistent with managing its orientation, but that setting does not certify a particular manoeuvre’s success against every attacker.

How it is actually used

The crawler’s projectile has a calculated building damage rate of 94.3, for a unit costing 120 minerals. That fits the official description’s emphasis on buildings, but it is not a verified world-wide ranking of siege weapons. Its attack component disables firing while moving, and its movement record allows reversing. Prepare a position with a clear target and an exit route that preserves its facing. A screen may help it reach that position when defenders threaten the approach; neither the listed rate nor the front armour makes an unsupported advance reliable.

How to beat it

Reading front armour 140 as the whole durability profile misses the crawler’s 250 base hit points and weaker side-and-rear protection. Attacking from another direction is consistent with the documented armour layout, but does not guarantee immediate destruction. Its area coefficient 0.2 likewise cannot certify artillery efficiency without the runtime formula. Exploit the time it needs to stop and establish fire, while considering its escort and possible reverse route. Select weapons by reach and the actual target situation, rather than treating either flanking or splash as an automatic kill.
