What it is

The Disgusting concrete eater costs 5 minerals, with a three-second production time and a zero population-price field. It records 590 base hit points, reserve capacity 50 and uniform armour 2. Its description states “It also digests metal well. Flies are good at devouring vehicles and confusing infantry.” Build 23882143 has a raw attack component omitted from the generated weapon list. Its fire, gas and area coefficients are −1.0, −1.0 and −0.2; they cannot be converted into a destruction rate here. The description and attack record should both be considered, rather than inventing a distinction between eating and doing weapon damage.

Where it comes from

On 10 February 2026, the developer described “mutant corpses spawn flies—a free but weak unit that can effectively attack enemy units of any type.” That is a faction-level description of corpse-generated flies, not proof that every fly is the same purchasable concrete eater. This unit’s configuration records a 5-mineral price, and other raw event links explicitly point to its configuration. Different creation routes need to be distinguished before claiming that it was never intended for purchase or that it costs nothing in every situation. The announcement explains recycling, while the configuration identifies this named unit and its recorded price.

How it is actually used

The concrete eater’s low recorded price does not make it only a free disposable screen. Its description gives a vehicle-focused role, and the raw attack component includes damage fields and a short approach adjustment. Its shared fire and gas coefficient −1.0 cannot prove that every clearing weapon destroys it immediately. Consider sending it toward a vehicle occupied by other Mutant threats when the route permits close contact. Whether the unit came from an event or a purchase matters to replacement, and neither route guarantees enough bodies to hold an enemy force indefinitely.

How to beat it

The concrete eater’s fire and gas coefficients are −1.0. Empire vehicle records also contain values such as 0.9 and 1.0, but a comparison of signs is not a damage formula. Its 5-mineral price is relevant to the cost of replacements, not a rule forbidding the use of expensive weapons. The concrete problem is protecting vehicles from its described close attack. Use coverage that reaches the approach and avoid leaving a valuable target occupied without help. Flame or gas may be available options, but their effectiveness against this unit is not guaranteed by the raw coefficients.
