Damage per second = damage ÷ fire cycle, computed by the build script.
What it is
The cheaper Assault Truck costs 190 minerals and 20 population. It has 1 040 base HP and uniform 5 armour, and uses a different prefab from the 500-mineral Assault Truck despite their identical official names. Confirmed in build 23882143. Its linked weapons include cannons and machine guns with different minimum ranges and opposing firing arcs. The extra-HP capacity is initially empty. The common description is useful for identifying the broad assault role, but it cannot replace this entry's own defence, movement and weapon records.
Where it comes from
The phrase “anti-aircraft machine guns and cannons in sponsons” comes from the official description key shared by both Assault Truck configurations. It does not show which vehicle was named first, nor make their weapon sets identical. The cheaper prefab links paired cannons and paired machine guns, while the heavier configuration has its own projectile entry and hull settings. These links are present in build 23882143. The official localization supports an equipment description, not a competitive ranking: there is no measured match result here that would establish the cheaper truck as the better choice in every engagement.
How it is actually used
An individual machine gun has 50.0 derived infantry DPS and a cannon has 74.1; both record range 10. These are simple weapon-level calculations before mitigation, not a total that every angle can deliver. The 190-mineral hull has 1 090 base-plus-extra capacity and 5 uniform armour, with the extra portion initially empty. Use the opposed firing arcs to decide which approach lets the intended guns track a target. Both weapon families allow moving fire, but the minimum ranges differ, so closing distance changes which entries remain available.
How to beat it
The 1 090 HP total includes empty extra-HP capacity. A cannon's 33.3 derived vehicle DPS gives a useful weapon-level comparison, while area resistance 0.2 remains a coefficient whose runtime formula is not established here. The machine guns record a minimum range of 2; the cannons can operate closer, so crossing that boundary does not silence the whole vehicle. When attacking, account for the opposing arcs and uniform armour rather than assuming a softer rear. Positioning can limit available fire, but these records do not establish a guaranteed duel outcome.
