What it is
Bunkers opens an Empire defensive building that does not require electricity. Its English description states: “You can now build a bunker. Unlike turrets, it doesn't require electricity.” The source is build 23882143. Research costs 1 000 minerals; the same 1 000 mark occurs on turret upgrades, compared with 3 000 for Macroeconomics and Tactical missiles and 50 for the harvester gun. These are individual price comparisons, not a complete ranking. The raw research configuration contains a creation-time field rather than omitting it. Opening the building and constructing it are separate purchases.
Where it comes from
The Bunker costs 120 minerals and twelve seconds to build, with 1 100 base hit points, 30 armour and an area-resistance coefficient of 0.6, from build 23882143. The coefficient 0.6 remains a source parameter: without a verified formula, it does not establish how much splash damage is absorbed. This is a comparison of construction cost and protection, separate from the unlock price. The building houses infantry, so the garrison and its position also matter when evaluating a defensive line.
How it is actually used
The description’s “doesn’t require electricity” establishes independence from grid power. Consider the upgrade when you need defensive shelter without adding electricity supply. Each building costs 120 minerals and has 1 100 base hit points with 30 armour, but the opening purchase is separate. Our advice is to judge the planned line of shelters, the squads that will occupy them and the position they protect. A cheap building does not make the research free or establish a universal return on investment.
How to beat it
Cutting grid power does not remove the Bunker’s function: the official description explicitly distinguishes it from turrets. Its area-resistance coefficient of 0.6 and armour of 30 describe the building, but do not establish a verified damage formula. We therefore do not label artillery inefficient or promise that any substantial direct-fire weapon will penetrate. Scout the shelter, its garrison and possible bypasses, then compare the actual attacking weapons. This is tactical advice rather than a developer instruction.
