What it is
Barracks towers describes access to local choices: “The Barracks receives a number of local upgrades to choose from. The Medic Tower quickly heals infantry in a square, while the Infantry Tower allows for a larger and more powerful squad of ranged units.” The doctrine is global in build 23882143 and costs 800 minerals. The Medical tower and Infantry tower configurations explicitly require it. Their roles differ: healing infantry nearby versus changing the infantry available and adding a weapon. The short doctrine description does not provide a full numerical comparison, but the building and component records contain information beyond that description. Use the separate branch pages to compare the actual effects.
Where it comes from
The global doctrine and its local branches are separate entries in build 23882143. Medical tower and Infantry tower both list Barracks towers as a prerequisite, which is a stronger link than similar names alone. The local records also have their own mineral costs and installation times: researching the doctrine does not mean either attachment is free. This is an access sequence rather than a documented balance history. The extracted configuration establishes the requirement, not the date when the developer introduced or changed these choices.
How it is actually used
The Barracks costs 100 minerals and fifteen seconds, with 700 base hit points and 7 armour in build 23882143; that does not include every resource requirement. Compare the bunker at 120 minerals, 1 100 base hit points and 30 armour when deciding whether you need production with an attachment or a sturdier defensive position. The doctrine opens choices on an existing building; it does not itself multiply production or durability. The Infantry tower replacement and healing components must be assessed separately.
How to beat it
An upgraded Barracks remains a production building with a local attachment. Its base record has 700 hit points and 7 armour; the stored area-resistance coefficient is 0.0. That coefficient is not, on its own, a proven damage formula. Do not assume healing or a weapon cancels the production queue: the building still has a production component. In a fight, identify the attachment and decide whether removing the building is more useful than attacking the supported infantry. This is a tactical reading, not a guaranteed damage calculation.
