What it is
Machine gun turrets opens the AK-30. The English description names infantry, light vehicles and air targets: “The AK-30 anti-aircraft mobile turrets have a high rate of fire and damage to infantry. They can effectively engage light vehicles and aerial targets.
They can move and dig in. Once dug in, the turret loses its ability to move.” The source is build 23882143; research costs 1 000 minerals. The AK-30 is configured as a unit and can move before digging in. Its mineral price of 130 is below the Flamethrower turret’s 150 and the AK-125 at 200. These compare objects, not their research or complete resource prices. Digging in removes mobility, an explicit limitation in the localisation that matters when choosing a defensive position.
Where it comes from
The AK-30 costs 130 minerals, with 600 base hit points and 25 armour, from build 23882143. As a unit it occupies population capacity, and the configuration also has an energy price. Mineral comparisons alone therefore do not describe the whole deployment cost. In the demo launch announcement of 15 June 2026, the developer wrote: “yes, you will be able to build trenches and other defensive structures in this demo.” That confirms defensive structures in the demo rather than promising free relocation of every object. This turret separately loses movement when it digs in.
How it is actually used
Mobility before digging in is one reason to consider Machine gun turrets; the anti-air role is also explicit in the description. The mineral price is 130, with population and energy counted separately. Our advice is to decide whether you need movable support or a committed defensive point. The description does not allow relocation after digging in. Its twenty-five armour matches a trench’s figure, but a matching armour value does not prove equal durability or a particular level of protection against a weapon class.
How to beat it
The AK-30 can appear on another approach while still mobile. Its 25 armour and 600 base hit points do not promise a quick kill by any vehicle: attacking weapon attributes matter. The same 600 base-health figure is below the Flamethrower turret’s; weapon damage and other defensive fields also affect survival. Our advice is to inspect its dug-in state and movement, then compare its weapon before attacking with infantry. Pressure on separate fronts may complicate positioning, but does not force an already dug-in turret to relocate.
