Deployment

Confirmed Established — fromdocs/sources/demo/raw/AbilitiesRTS.AbilityConfig.json / Deployment, build 23882143

What it is

Deployment switches an object between static and mobile states: “The object expands into a static object. In static mode, it folds back into a mobile object.” The description is from build 23882143. Linked carriers include the AK turret, Mobile support camp and Vortex artillery vehicle, with deployment components recorded separately for their objects. Identical wording on the MCV deployment entry does not make all these machines identical. The components describe placement and state changes; they do not by themselves establish a universal transformation time, combat bonus or safe window to change mode.

Where it comes from

The files for build 23882143 contain several ways to change how a unit operates: Deployment, the MCV deployment entry, Artillery position and anti-aircraft shells. Their descriptions concern different actions and should be read separately. Deployment links to several carriers rather than defining a new weapon. A shared description records a similar intention, not identical bonuses or a date when the modes were introduced. The carrier pages show the weapons and functions that can be compared without inventing a balance history.

How it is actually used

Use the possibility of folding back when a position no longer serves the fight. Reversibility does not mean that changing mode is instantaneous or safe under fire. The linked deployment components include placement checks, so the ground around the object may matter. The Siege Howitzer is a separate local upgrade with its own weapon description; it is not evidence that this ability grants the same firing restrictions. Compare the actual carrier’s page and watch its current state before ordering a relocation.

How to beat it

Do not rely on an assumed period of helplessness during Deployment. The inspected components describe state and placement changes without establishing a combat vulnerability window. An AK-30 turret is one of the linked carriers, and its description explicitly allows relocation. Threatening another route may encourage the opponent to move, but does not guarantee a free attack. Check which object is deploying and compare its own weapons and protection; a support camp and artillery vehicle present different problems.
