Select units inside

Confirmed Established — fromdocs/sources/demo/raw/AbilitiesRTS.AbilityConfig.json / SelectInside, build 23882143

What it is

Select units inside is a control for occupants, not an order to evacuate them. The generated carrier link points to the Empire Bunker. The raw selection components contain links to container objects, so it would be inaccurate to say that they hold no information. Those links should be distinguished from a complete list of carriers verified for this command. Selecting occupants does not itself establish their weapons, protection or exit behaviour. Consult the Bunker’s garrison data and use Exit separately when you want the squad to leave.

Where it comes from

The official description is “This object provides the ability to select units placed inside it.” This establishes selection of occupants, not the ability to issue every possible order while they remain inside. The generated entry links to the Bunker, and the raw components refer to containers. Repair and Aim the arrow provide different kinds of data, so counting all of them as interface commands does not justify calling the selection entry empty. The Bunker’s own page records capacity and return fire; those are properties of the container rather than effects granted by selecting a squad.

How it is actually used

The developer discussed selection controls on 15 June 2026, including the option to “select objects this way across the entire map” and control groups described as “a "T + number", not only left control.” Those statements concern selection tools in that version, not a shortcut for this particular command. Selecting a Bunker’s occupants can help inspect which squads are inside without using Exit. The command description does not establish whether all individual orders remain available while garrisoned. Check the current selection and the carrier’s page before relying on a control-group workflow.

How to beat it

Selecting occupants does not change their protection or make them leave a garrison. The practical question is whether you need to inspect the squad or evacuate it; those are different commands. On 22 June 2026, the developer described key rebinding as “already listed as in development”, which does not establish this button’s key or guarantee that every existing binding will change. This page uses build 23882143. Compare the Bunker and Exit pages for capacity, return fire and placement rather than treating a selection control as a combat effect.
