On/Off

Confirmed Established — fromdocs/sources/demo/raw/AbilitiesRTS.AbilityConfig.json / SetMode, build 23882143

What it is

On/Off stops or starts work according to the current mode. The linked carrier is the Empire Complector, a bioengineering production building. The page’s correction of 5 September 2026 established that connection through the command component. The component contains an action link, so describing it as a button with no further information would miss how it is connected. Its presence does not prove that turning the building off refunds energy or that every other production building accepts the same command. Check the Complector page for its function.

Where it comes from

The official description is “Stops working or starts working depending on the current mode.” The word “working” should be read in the context of the linked Complector, whose purpose is producing Brutes. Repair and Aim the arrow are separate catalogue entries with different component data; grouping them as interface commands does not establish a shared effect. The On/Off component links an action to the building, but does not provide a documented energy-saving formula. That supports a work toggle, not a history of changes to the economy. Compare the Complector page for the producer’s role.

How it is actually used

The aggregate building figures are 3 020 energy demand and 1 340 energy production when different catalogue entries are added together. They do not describe a legal army or a measured player’s power grid, and they do not prove that On/Off saves energy. Use the command when you want to pause the linked Complector’s work, then check the actual resource state in play. The building’s production role and attachment interactions are more relevant than a cross-catalogue total. Its page explains what is produced and what nearby structures affect.

How to beat it

This command concerns the owner’s control of the Complector. Its existence does not make an opponent’s inactive building undefended or establish that power has been refunded. On 22 June 2026, key rebinding was described as “already listed as in development”; that statement does not tell us this command’s shortcut or guarantee a change to every binding. The page uses build 23882143. If the problem is finding the control, use the current interface; if it is stopping Brute production, consult the Complector and unit pages for the actual building and defenders.
