What it is
The Warehouse expands supply for 120 minerals and 5 energy, adding 20 to the limit. Its description says “Expands the supply limit.” Build 23882143 gives it 500 base hit points and 5 armour. The 5-energy requirement is still a requirement; a small cost is not proof of construction during every power shortage. The production tree identifies both the TRM and Supply depot as producers. Compare access, timing and the supply you need rather than treating the Warehouse as interchangeable with material Storage.
Where it comes from
Supply costs distinguish army choices: Riflemen use 5, BMP uses 15, and the Dreadnought description says “Super-heavy artillery. An indispensable vehicle for defense, fortification, and prolonged siege of enemy lines. In mobile mode, it can support the offensive.” Its supply cost is 50. Those are configuration costs, not evidence that every listed unit can be selected in the playable demo battle. On 15 June 2026, the developer said “This game isn’t about squads, it’s about battalions.” That framing explains why supply planning accompanies army composition, but it does not prescribe how many Warehouses to build. Read the demo guide for selectable units and the economy guide for the supply budget.
How it is actually used
The Warehouse costs 120 minerals. The Large warehouse adds 90 supply for 250 minerals, so reaching its 250-mineral purchase is a different commitment from filling an immediate gap with the Warehouse’s 20 added supply. Include gears, construction time and producer access in the comparison. Neither building’s mineral price alone determines when to switch. Plan capacity alongside the units you actually intend to produce, and consult the economy guide before assuming a small energy requirement permits construction during any shortage.
How to beat it
The mistake is choosing a supply building by mineral price alone. The Large warehouse costs 250 minerals and adds 90 supply; the Warehouse costs 120 and adds 20. Their other requirements and roles differ. For the defender, anticipate the next production orders instead of waiting for a capacity problem. For the attacker, check whether replacing supply or replacing units is the enemy’s current constraint. Destroying a supply building does not establish the fate of troops already fielded. The economy guide covers the capacity side of this comparison.
