What it is
Trench costs 10 minerals. Its official description states “The cheapest and fastest-to-build defensive structure compared to others.” The defence record has 200 base hit points, an extra-health capacity of 1 000 and armour 25. Unlike entries with an empty reserve, this prefab records extra health filled to its capacity. Build 23882143 also links a garrison component with infantry retaliation and a separate capacity upgrade. The description’s comparison is the developer’s wording, not a measured ranking on this page. Choose occupants and placement together; the trench’s own protection does not establish every damage rule for the infantry inside.
Where it comes from
The developer confirmed trenches and other defensive structures for the demo in the announcement of 15 June 2026. That statement establishes the intended feature, rather than a universal order to dig during every fight. The mineral price is 10; it remains a construction purchase even when the amount is small. The current raw garrison also records entry, retaliation and exit rules, so a trench is more than an unarmed object in the weapon table. Read the construction and garrison pages when deciding which approach needs a prepared position and how its occupants can leave.
How it is actually used
The mineral price is 10, and the catalogue’s combined health capacity is 1 200. In this prefab the extra-health field is filled, unlike an empty capacity on another building. Armour is 25 and the area-resistance coefficient 0.6, without a documented damage formula. Place the trench where its occupants can engage the intended approach and still have a useful exit. The garrison’s retaliation and capacity settings deserve attention alongside the building’s health. Consult the garrison guide before treating a prepared position as protection against every weapon.
How to beat it
The mineral price 10 does not by itself make attacking the trench wasteful or bypassing it safe. Fire and gas coefficients of 1.0 belong to the host’s defence, not a universal rule for occupants. The demo’s garrison update separately says environmental flame and gas no longer kill units inside garrisoning structures. That does not promise survival after destruction or against every direct attack. Inspect the occupants, supporting weapons and exit before choosing the target. The garrison and environmental-damage pages keep those effects separate.
