What it is

Mobility describes its target directly: “Allows the repair site to move.”. In build 23882143, it costs 250 minerals and five seconds. The Repair site costs 200 minerals and 50 energy over twenty seconds, with 654 base hit points, a 60-point reserve and 10 armour. These are separate chassis and upgrade costs. The raw component explicitly adds a movement ability to the repair-site prefab, so the general unit description saying it can move is not evidence that the upgrade does nothing. Consult the site’s repair and movement records for its actual support role.

Where it comes from

The Repair site description contains “Can be moved” in build 23882143, while the upgrade explicitly adds its movement ability through a linked component. Read together, those records are consistent with an available capability being gated by equipment; the wording alone does not prove movement is already free. The BREM has 500 base hit points and 25 armour for 100 minerals, but a ratio of armour to price is not a general durability measure. Compare the repair roles and requirements rather than declaring one description authoritative and the other redundant.

How it is actually used

The movement upgrade can help reposition a Repair site, but a useful route depends on the damaged vehicles and the battlefield. BREM at 100 minerals is a separate repair option, and Repair Expansion concerns another host; their existence does not prove that the Empire alone has multiple recovery tools. The repair-site energy requirement is recorded, but that does not establish which support building a power shortage disables first. Read the movement ability and repair component before assuming the site repairs while travelling or that general mobility wording makes this purchase unnecessary.

How to beat it

The Repair site has 654 base hit points and 10 armour, with area-resistance coefficient 0.4. Those values do not prove that direct fire is always more efficient than artillery. Its 654 base hit points and 60-point reserve also do not alone rank it as harder to remove than every other repair vehicle, because armour and support differ. Disrupting the site can reduce nearby repair access, but damaged vehicles may still have other recovery options. Compare the host, route and escort before prioritising it over the combat units it supports.
