What it is
Siege Doctrine describes siege equipment: “The Siege Doctrine unlocks a range of siege weapons. It involves superior firepower and massive artillery bombardment.” The source is build 23882143. Its configsToAdd records the Dreadnought at 700 minerals, 50 gears and 50 population, with ninety seconds of production. Until 4 September 2026, this page wrongly said the vehicle link was missing. The phrase “a range of siege weapons” is broader than the single entry in that particular field. We publish the verified unit connection without treating it as proof that every other siege mechanism is absent from the full raw source corpus.
Where it comes from
Siege Doctrine connects to the Dreadnought and the artillery role stated in localisation. In build 23882143, buildings have different area-resistance coefficients: examples include −0.5 on the Empire Additional generator and 0.9 on the neutral anti-aircraft tower. These are different source parameters, not a verified absorbed fraction or damage amplification. Evaluating a siege also requires weapons, distance, deployment and support. The word siege does not establish a universal calculation of damage against every building.
How it is actually used
Scout targets and compare their protection before choosing siege equipment, but coefficients alone do not establish the outcome. The compared Mutant production buildings record 0.2, the Renegade buildings 0.0, trenches 0.6, Bunkers 0.6, and the Empire Additional generator −0.5. We retain these as parameters without assigning percentages or guaranteed artillery effectiveness. Our advice is to choose the doctrine for a concrete bombardment task and a protected Dreadnought position. Research and unit production are separate purchases.
How to beat it
Dispersing targets and pressuring an artillery position are possible responses to siege equipment. The trench and Bunker coefficient of 0.6 does not promise a fixed protection level. The Dreadnought has 1 500 base hit points, 60 extra health, 60 front armour against 30 on sides and rear, and area-resistance coefficient 0.5. A flank encounters less armour without guaranteeing half the total protection. Ninety seconds of production makes replacement slow. The added-configuration field records the Dreadnought, not proof that all other effects are absent elsewhere.
