What it is

Tank doctrine describes a carrier and main battle tank: “A capacious armored personnel carrier with a heavy anti-aircraft machine gun and a main battle tank with an anti-tank gun. A versatile doctrine for any situation.” The source is build 23882143; research costs 500 minerals. Its configsToAdd contains the BTR at 160 and Tank “T-50B” at 250. The Russian tank name uses Cyrillic; this preserved English fragment identifies the source wording. Until 4 September 2026, the page wrongly denied the links. The vehicles are now matched by configuration identifiers. This is a verified pair of additions, not a universal army composition or a guaranteed payback calculation.

Where it comes from

The developer described directional armour on 10 February 2026: “two conical shapes: one for the front arc and a combined one for the sides and rear.” The announcement confirms a front sector and combined side-rear sector. This is a rule of armour geometry rather than a compulsory tactic for every Empire vehicle: values must be checked on each configuration. The vehicles added by Tank doctrine do have stronger front armour. Our advice is to account for the direction of threats while moving and turning, without converting the common scheme into a ban on raiding or a guaranteed frontal battle result.

How it is actually used

The BTR costs 160 minerals and 10 population, with 400 base hit points, 300 extra health and 25 front armour against 15 behind, built in fifteen seconds. Tank “T-50B” costs 250 minerals and 15 population, with 700 base hit points and 50 front armour against 30 behind, built in twenty-five seconds. Research at 500 minerals is separate. These prices do not establish payback or prove that making several vehicles recovers the investment. Our advice is to choose the pair for infantry transport and vehicle combat while protecting their weaker arcs.

How to beat it

The doctrine’s BTR and tank have stronger front armour than sides and rear. A flank can change the conditions of incoming fire, but its benefit must be assessed with actual weapons and support. The flame tank and turret reach 369.2 calculated damage per second against infantry; that does not prove effectiveness against this doctrine’s vehicles. Our advice is to inspect the vehicle-damage profile and actual firing distances. We do not promise that flame ignores armour or that this pair is defeated by one anti-infantry damage statistic.
