The demo’s faction table lists four entries, not three. Alongside the Empire, the mutants and the rebels sits a fourth, recorded as AI_Travelers, which no official announcement has ever mentioned. Its thirteen entries are named and described in the game’s own localisation table, so these are the developer’s words, not ours.
The units: Ballista, Drone squad, Drone collector, Heavy liner, Seeker, Arc Spear, Plasma tank. The buildings: Light Infantry Workshop, Mechanoid Factory, Reactor, Cleaning center, Storage, Plasma turret. Prices run from 60 minerals for the Drone collector to 600 for the Arc Spear, so they were costed. Visually they are the most distinct set in the game — smooth pale ceramic shells and rounded forms where the Empire is angular riveted steel, with a cold cyan glow instead of red-orange fire. One of their images is an emblem reading “FOR A NEW LIFE”.
And here is the measurement that matters. Across the demo, 106 units and buildings carry hit points and armour. These thirteen carry none — no health, no armour, no weapon. The prefabs their entries point at hold no combat components at all. That is not a failure of our extraction: every other faction resolves normally through the same script, and we checked.
What this means, we do not know, and we will not guess. An entry that exists but cannot fight could be content under construction, content cut and left in place, or content deliberately switched off for a demo. The developer has said nothing about any of it. Reading intent out of a file layout is the kind of inference this site refuses to publish, however tempting the story.
We will instead rely on a comparison of the data. Every fact on this site carries the build it came from. If a later build gives these thirteen entries statistics, a new extraction and comparison must establish that before this page is updated and dated.
Until then: as of build 23882143, measured on 17 August 2026, a fourth faction exists in Dust Front’s data, it is named, described and illustrated, and it cannot fight.
When the game builds a base for this side, it does not improvise. The faction record fixes 9 kinds of building and a count for each, so an established base holds between 23 and 32 structures: Supply depot (5 to 7), Cleaning center (2), Construction crane (1), Plasma turret (4 to 6), Repair site (1 to 2), Light Infantry Workshop (3 to 4), Mechanoid Factory (2 to 3), Storage (3 to 4) and Strange anti-aircraft gun (2 to 3). Read from build 23882143. And it does not build all of that itself: Construction crane, Strange anti-aircraft gun and Supply depot are borrowed outright from another side’s list — the Empire list and the Mutants list. ⭐ That is not a guess about lore, it is what the record points at.
The same record also holds this side’s scripted attacks, and they are not random. There are 6 of them, 42 units in total, the smallest fielding 6 and the largest 9, and 3 of them sit behind a difficulty threshold. The heaviest is worth knowing by heart: 5 Plasma tank, 1 Seeker and 3 Ballista. Read from build 23882143. ⛔ The file also stores a warning message for each wave, but it is written in raw Russian rather than through the game’s own translation table, so we do not claim it is what an English player sees.
